Patrick Mason

Patrick Mason is a member of the Osage Nation (Wah-Zha-Zhe), a Catholic, an attorney, and a nationally recognized leader serving Native American and Catholic communities. He is President and CEO of Aequitas and the founder of the Cristeros.


A lifelong Catholic and devoted father of eight, Patrick brings together faith, culture, and leadership in his work. He currently serves as a member of the National Advisory Council of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).


Patrick previously served as Supreme Secretary of the Knights of Columbus, where he oversaw global fraternal operations, faith formation initiatives, organizational modernization, and financials for one of the largest Catholic organizations in the world. He is an alumnus of Thomas Aquinas College, the UNM School of Law, and St. John’s University School of Law.

Brian Venegas

Based in Gallup, New Mexico, father of three, Brian runs digital initiatives for Cristeros and its parent organization, Aequitas. In addition to this, he runs Nowen LLC, a digital agency for non-profits. Past experience includes work in a digital agency, an AI data company, and a Cathedral, doing everything from project management to marketing.

Peter Zelasko

Based in Gallup, New Mexico, Peter is serving as Executive Director of the Catholic People's Foundation while directing marketing for Cristeros. He is the former Social Media Manager for Catholic News Agency (of EWTN).

Steven Gerace

‍Steven serves as Engagement and Program Manager for Cristeros, and Facilities & Auto Program Director for its parent organization, Aequitas. He is also a seasoned automotive business owner and instructor. With more than ten years of hands‑on industry experience, he directs and instructs the Aequitas Automotive Workforce program run in partnership with the Industrial Workforce Program, and volunteers with V8’s for Vocations, supporting seminarian education through his automotive expertise. Steven is driven by faith, service, and a passion for classic cars, his fiancé, and their four dogs.
